These weekly forecast posts are published EVERY Monday morning and provide a general overview of the atmosphere and the weather conditions for the week ahead in Front Range Colorado. We give you a heads-up on the major short-term weather features and anything looming down the road.
After a brief review of last Friday’s snow, we cover the forecast for the upcoming week. Overall it will be quiet with very comfortable temperatures, though we are watching a Pacific cold front set to bring Mountain snow, strong winds, and cooler weather towards the end of the week.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday. For the remainder of this week, we start off with windy and chillier weather as the main story. After that, we’re expecting a brief warm-up followed by a very real chance of rain and snow. Read more to find out the full details!
Following yesterday evening’s rain and snow, the week ahead will turn much quieter, including another warming trend with highs pushing back into the 70’s later in the week. We detail the week ahead, as well as the time-frame when our next snowstorm may occur.
Dry and unseasonably warm conditions will continue across eastern Colorado for much of the week ahead. We discuss this along with an uncertain but interesting weather system for the upcoming weekend.
We begin the week with windy conditions, followed by a gradual warming trend into the 60’s to end the week. There may be a chance of snow by Saturday, but current model indications look meager at best.
Despite a generally troughy pattern remaining across the western United States this week, things in Colorado will be relatively quiet. Snow chances will be next to zero for the lower elevations, with only one brief period of light snow expected in the Mountains. Temperatures will also be much warmer this week compared to last.
In the wake of last night’s snow, we start out the shortened work week on the nippy side with an Arctic airmass entrenched across the Front Range. Temperatures may not get above freezing until Friday. We are also watching three (yes three!) more chances for snow this week, especially on Friday, with the approach of another potent trough.
