Shown below is our snowfall forecast map issued Thursday morning with actual storm totals overlaid. Green values indicate that our forecast verified to within one inch of the observed snowfall total. Red numbers did not. Compared to initial projections, this snow event was a big flop for the Foothills which mostly saw just 2-5″ of snow, with a few lucky spots picking up to 8″. Across the lower elevations, just about everyone saw accumulating snow but totals were generally 2″ or less. Officially, Boulder received 1.6″ of new snow while Denver (DIA) recorded just 0.3″.

Boulder’s 56″ of snowfall is about 2% below normal season-to-date.
