This week in Colorado weather: November 9, 2020

The week starts out on the cold side with light accumulating snow Monday into Monday night. We discuss the timing, amounts, and provide our snowfall forecast map. Beyond Monday, a series of troughs will remain across the western United States keeping below seasonal temperatures over much of Colorado, but providing little to no additional precipitation.

This week in Colorado weather: November 2, 2020

November will commence with very warm and dry conditions across the Front Range as high pressure dominates our weather for yet another week. Afternoon temperatures each day will approach (but likely not exceed) record values. Changes begin to take shape Friday into the upcoming weekend as a strong and cold storm system drops out of western Canada. Initially this will lead to strong winds and high fire danger for Colorado, but snow may be in the works as well.

This week in Colorado weather: October 12, 2020

Despite the progressive cold front on Sunday which brought strong winds, dangerous fire conditions, Mountain snow, and even a dust storm to some portions of the eastern Plains, we will see a nice rebound in our temperatures immediately to start the week. However, a stronger cold front will arrive later in the week leading to chilly temperatures . It is looking like another dry week as well, with any precipitation chances holding off until sometime next week.

It will feel like August, not October, this week as the same old pesky ridging pattern holds across the western United States. As a result, we’ll largely see a continuation of dry and unseasonably warm weather across the Front Range as many days flirt with record high temperatures.
