This week in Colorado weather: October 12, 2020

Despite the progressive cold front on Sunday which brought strong winds, dangerous fire conditions, Mountain snow, and even a dust storm to some portions of the eastern Plains, we will see a nice rebound in our temperatures immediately to start the week. However, a stronger cold front will arrive later in the week leading to chilly temperatures . It is looking like another dry week as well, with any precipitation chances holding off until sometime next week.

It will feel like August, not October, this week as the same old pesky ridging pattern holds across the western United States. As a result, we’ll largely see a continuation of dry and unseasonably warm weather across the Front Range as many days flirt with record high temperatures. This week in Colorado weather: August 24, 2020

The week will begin with near-record high temperatures continuing across the Front Range. However, we will see a gradual downward trend in temperatures thanks to increased clouds and scattered storms over the state. We are also tracking a few cold fronts on the horizon that look to finally breakdown that persistent ridge leading to much cooler temperatures next week.
