We start the week with near-record warmth with some locations reaching the lower 80s on Monday. That warmth vacates quickly come Tuesday with a strong storm system and associated cold front moving through. Rain and some thunder will change to wet snow Tuesday night. This week in Colorado weather: March 21, 2022

A strong cut-off low pressure system will slowly pass by south of Colorado early in the week leading to below normal temperatures, gusty winds and at times light snow for the area. Little to no accumulation is expected across the lower elevations though. Things turn sunny and warmer Wednesday and beyond, with the upcoming weekend looking particularly stunning. This week in Colorado weather: March 14, 2022

After a mild and gorgeous weekend, the week ahead continues on the same note, at least to start! Colder temperatures and a good threat for rain/snow arrives late Wednesday into Thursday. Uncertainty remains on where snowfall will be greatest, but likely favors the higher elevations of the Front Range due to the marginal temperatures. This week in Colorado weather: February 28, 2022

If last week was considered the winter deep freeze, this week shall be the spring thaw! The main story for the majority of the week ahead will be above normal high temperatures and dry conditions under a strong mid-level ridge of high pressure. A storm system moving onshore along the West Coast on Thursday will return our area to a more unsettled pattern late Friday into the weekend, along with a likelihood of snow and colder air filtering in. The upcoming week will feature a drastic change in our weather as a late-season Arctic airmass surges in on Monday and remains locked across the Front Range through at least Friday. Alongside the bitter cold temperatures will be a handful of light snow chances from President’s Day Monday through Wednesday night that will bring a wide range in potential snowfall totals.
