The entire upcoming week will feature well above average temperatures across the Front Range with several days of record highs up for grabs. There will be a couple of “cool-downs” behind dry cold fronts but temperatures will still remain above seasonal normals on those days as well. While the upcoming week is expected to be totally dry, there are some hints of a return to a more active and unsettled pattern next week. We’ll discuss this and more in our weekly outlook so read on!

Warm weather and sunshine will start out our holiday week as temperatures reach comfortably into the 60’s. A strong cold front will usher in much colder temperatures around midweek, along with a slight chance of snow. Early indications are that Thanksgiving will be seasonal and dry. A gradual warming trend is in-store for the latter half of the week and into the weekend with no major storm systems anywhere to be found in the pipeline.
A near-total lunar eclipse is set to take place late Thursday night into Friday morning when the Earth’s shadow will cast onto the full moon. But, will any of us in the Front Range be able to see it? Here’s the latest weather forecast.
The saga for our first measurable snowfall of the season is finally over, in Boulder at least. In a rather uninspiring fashion, the city reported its first official snowfall early Wednesday morning before sunrise. Warm and gusty weather will kick off the week before a cold front arrives Tuesday evening bringing primarily light Mountain snow to the state. 60’s and 70’s will transition to 30’s by Wednesday. There is also a few outside chances for snow across the Denver Metro area this week, but nothing to get excited about. Both Boulder and Denver are rapidly closing in on the record for the latest first accumulating snowfall of the season. At this point, those records are definitely in jeopardy of getting eclipsed.
After an unseasonably warm weekend across the Front Range, this week starts and ends with seasonal to below normal temperatures. A series of cold fronts will traverse through our area as a storm system strengthens over the midsection of the country. This pattern will favor snow for the higher terrain mid to late-week, but just dry, breezy, and chilly conditions for the Plains. Denver and Boulder are both rapidly approaching record territory for the latest first snow.
The week kicks off with cold and unsettled conditions lingering across the Front Range. A combination of chilly upslope and the nearby jet stream will produce scattered rain and snow showers for the entire region with a chance some areas could see minor snow accumulations. After a wave of heavier Mountain snow on Tuesday, things begin to quiet down and warm up midweek and beyond.
