As of 12:00 PM, the temperature is 26 degrees at BoulderCAST station with light snow falling sideways thanks to blustery northeasterly winds. There is around 1/2" of accumulation on the ground already in Boulder, with 1-2" in the Foothills west of town. We told you this cold front would not be messing around! Born and raised in St. Louis, Andrew obtained a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado in 2015. From 2015 to 2020, he worked remotely in Boulder as an atmospheric scientist with NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami. Andy is now a full-time meteorologist.
