There was a brief and light round of light snow Wednesday afternoon and evening that did accumulate in some locations. Let’s take a quick look at the totals.

Shown below is our snowfall forecast map issued Wednesday morning with actual storm totals overlaid. Green values indicate that our forecast verified to within one inch of the observed snowfall total. Red numbers did not (there are no red). Officially Boulder reported 0.4″ of snow whereas Denver reported a trace. The highest totals of 1 to 2″ were observed in western Arvada, Golden and the nearby Foothills.

This meager snow event brings our seasonal snowfall totals up of course, but just barely. The entire region is running well below normal in the snowfall department this season.
