This week in Colorado weather: June 15, 2020

The heat continues this week with lower to middle 90’s through Wednesday under warm southwest flow. This pattern will also favor the threat of wildfires across Colorado. This week in Colorado weather: June 8, 2020

A welcomed cool-down will transpire early in the week as a strong Pacific trough moves across the Rockies. However, accompanying the cooler temperatures will be very strong winds Monday evening and night, as well as widespread rain and even some wet snow in the higher elevations. By mid-week, yet another ridge of high pressure will begin to take shape leading to a warming and drying trend for the Front Range.

Above the Clouds: How do you identify the top of the shallow cloud or fog layer over Boulder?

If you look out the window and see low clouds or fog blanketing your area, there is a decent chance that some or all of the peaks just west of town are soaking in the sun, but not always.
