Well, April 2020 didn’t play out quite as anyone expected with record cold and snow the main story. Here’s a quick and colorful recap of our weather during the month of April and how it relates to climatology told through a series of graphics.

Top Weather Highlights of April 2020: 

  • More than three feet of snow fell in Boulder between April 12th and 17th solidifying the 2019-20 season as Boulder’s snowiest in recorded history (since the late 1800’s). While only 3″ of snow was reported in Denver during this period, record late-season cold impacted the entire Front Range. My trees sure didn’t bloom…did yours?
