The first snow storm of the season will be coming to an end today. As the jet streak which brought us much of the banded snowfall slides to our south and east this morning and afternoon, the bands of snow will shift in tandem to our south over southern Colorado, as seen in the animation below from the NAM-NEST precipitation …

Born and raised in St. Louis, Andrew obtained a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado in 2015. From 2015 to 2020, he worked remotely in Boulder as an atmospheric scientist with NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami. Andy is now a full-time meteorologist.
