His hometown received nearly three feet of snow from the Storm of the Century back in March of 1993, sparking his initial interest in impactful weather. This week in Colorado weather: August 1, 2022

If you enjoyed the hot and mostly dry weather that dominated the month of July in the Front Range, you’re going to absolutely love the first week of August! High pressure will rebuild over the area this week keeping temperatures well above normal and acting to suppress thunderstorm development most days. The best chance of rain comes on Tuesday, but we also are watching the upcoming weekend when the remnant tropical moisture from Hurricane Frank reaches the area. Let’s take a look at the weather week ahead in Colorado!

Colorado Weekend Weather Outlook: July 28, 2022

⦁❶⦁ Strong thunderstorms last night produced localized flash flooding, hail, and incredible lightning across the area

⦁❷⦁ Monsoon moisture peaks on Thursday with an excellent chance of more rain and cool temperatures

⦁❸⦁ Rain chances will decline slowly through Friday and the weekend as temperatures trend up, but flash flooding remains a concern

⦁❹⦁ We temporarily dry out early next week with temperatures returning to the middle 90s or higher by Monday
