The chance of snow on Friday has waned, but here’s the latest

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone sadly has to assume that role today. What looked like a somewhat good, though uncertain, chance of snow for us earlier in the week has transitioned to a situation where almost every weather model is now struggling to come up with much, if any, snow in the Denver Metro area tonight into Friday. Let’s take a look at what happened and how much snow is currently expected.

October 2021 Weather Review: Drought returns after one of Boulder’s all-time driest Octobers

October 2021 was extremely dry for all of eastern Colorado and drought has exploded once again across the region. Other notable highlights during the month include the return of La Niña for a second winter in a row, magnificent fall colors, a drizzly Halloween, and the lack of any accumulating snowfall yet in Boulder or Denver. Our first snowfall of the season is running late, but that could change soon!

Happy Friday! It sure is gorgeous out there today. Change is coming however as the weather pattern is set to shift just in time for Halloween and the end of the month. We discuss the latest forecast surrounding the much cooler and gloomier weather about to settle into northeast Colorado…and yes, it will offer another chance for Front Range cities to pick up their first snow of the season!
