Strong cold front pushed through the region this morning. Below shows the regional 800 mb temperature across the west. Note that the cold front has slid through across eastern Colorado. Temperatures have turned quite chilly across the area. What a change a day makes! Behind the front, lots of low-level clouds will be around today, eventually leading to partial sunshine …

Born and raised in St. Louis, Andrew obtained a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado in 2015. From 2015 to 2020, he worked remotely in Boulder as an atmospheric scientist with NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami. Andy is now a full-time meteorologist.
