Tstrong low pressure system over our area yesterday that brought high winds, fire danger, and even some hail/storms, has exited off into the upper Mississippi Valley, with its cold front over the Midwest. The front actually lingers along the Front Range but will wash out this afternoon as the gradient from the storm weakens and shifts out of our state. …

Born and raised in St. Louis, Andrew obtained a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado in 2015. From 2015 to 2020, he worked remotely in Boulder as an atmospheric scientist with NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami. Andy is now a full-time meteorologist.
